In the city of Wenzhou, negotiations were held between the leadership of the “O‘zcharmsanoat” Association and representatives of the China Leather Industry Association. The talks focused on long-term cooperation, joint projects, and new investment initiatives between the two countries.
During the discussions, special attention was given to the opportunities of the Oltinko‘l Small Industrial Zone in Andijan region. Chinese investors expressed strong interest in expanding production capacities, launching new lines, and increasing the output of finished products in this area.
For Uzbekistan’s leather and footwear industry, the Oltinko‘l industrial zone holds strategic importance. Currently, several enterprises are already operating there, while work continues to expand production capacity and organize wholesale trade. New projects are expected to further enhance the zone’s industrial potential.
The inflow of Chinese capital will create new opportunities for exporting Uzbek products to the major markets of China and Asia. The introduction of modern technologies and equipment will help increase the share of finished goods. The upcoming wave of investment is expected to expand production lines and boost export volumes.
China’s leather industry today holds a leading position in the global market. Combining its potential with Uzbekistan’s raw material base and production capabilities may deliver significant economic results for both countries. The dialogue launched in Wenzhou is expected to lay the foundation for a strategic partnership in the industrial sector.
