Another important step has been taken in attracting major investments into Uzbekistan’s leather and footwear industry. The Chinese company Simple Leasing has announced its intention to invest $5 million in the country as a direct investment.

Initial negotiations were held with Angren Charm LLC in the Tashkent region. The project aims to introduce modern technological equipment, expand the range of products, and increase export potential.

A meeting at the Uzcharmsanoat Association discussed the organizational and legal aspects of implementing the project. During the talks, the parties exchanged specific proposals on technical requirements, production volumes, market segments, and export directions.

In September, Simple Leasing is expected to arrive in Uzbekistan with a large delegation to finalize and sign the agreement. The visit will include familiarization with production sites, finalizing contract terms with local partners, and holding an official signing ceremony.

The leadership of the Uzcharmsanoat Association emphasized that this cooperation would be another step towards attracting international finance and technology to Uzbekistan’s leather industry. The project is expected to create new jobs, improve product quality, and enhance competitiveness in foreign markets.
