As Uzbekistan strengthens economic ties with China, two major Chinese companies — Hong Kong Ming Feng Leather International Ltd and Dongguan Xianfeng Shoe Materials Co., Ltd — held official meetings in Tashkent with Uzcharmsanoat Association Deputy Chairman Mr. M. Zahidov.

Discussions centered around two strategic directions: exporting finished leather goods and establishing direct manufacturing operations in Uzbekistan.

Ming Feng: 2 Million Pairs of Shoes Annually – Now Sourcing from Uzbekistan

Ming Feng Leather International Ltd, with an annual production of over 2 million pairs of footwear, expressed strong interest in sourcing finished leather products from Uzbekistan to be used in its branded Chinese factories. This move signals a promising new export channel for Uzbek manufacturers.

Demand from such a major international producer confirms the rising reputation of Uzbek leather in the global value chain.

Xianfeng: Manufacturing Footwear Directly in Uzbekistan

Dongguan Xianfeng Shoe Materials Co., Ltd is planning to invest in a new production facility within one of Uzbekistan’s specialized leather and footwear industrial zones. The company aims to produce both leather and footwear products locally for domestic sales and international export.

This project is expected to generate new jobs, enhance local raw material processing, and encourage technological collaboration.
