Science, Practice, and Industry — A Three-Tiered Approach

Success in industry depends not only on advanced technologies but also on skilled professionals who can manage them, understand market needs, and introduce innovations. That is why the “Uzcharmsanoat” Association considers cooperation with educational institutions a key strategic priority.

Within the framework of its long-standing partnership with the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, the Association annually hosts practical defenses of students’ graduation projects. The latest session took place on June 16 at the headquarters of the “Uzcharmsanoat” Association.

Eight graduates of the leather industry department presented their scientific and practical research on topics of their choice. Their work was based on real-life examples and practical solutions. The defense was attended by the Association's leadership, representatives of leading industry enterprises, and academic experts.

The projects addressed key areas such as:

  • Improving the economic efficiency of leather raw material processing;

  • Enhancing product design and packaging to meet modern market demands;

  • Producing finished goods using environmentally friendly technologies;

  • Promoting leather products to export markets through digital marketing strategies.

Each presentation was followed by discussions and expert feedback. The “Uzcharmsanoat” Association and industry representatives expressed interest in implementing several of the proposed ideas and invited selected students for internships.

“This is more than just a diploma defense — it is a platform to discover a new generation of thinkers with practical solutions. Here, we are shaping a modern, market-driven model for workforce development,” stated an Association representative.

The “Uzcharmsanoat” Association is deepening its integration with the education sector by supporting student research implementation and identifying promising talent early. This strategic approach not only addresses the skilled labor shortage but also cultivates national experts capable of shaping the future of the Uzbek industrial brand.
