As part of the business mission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry representatives, the "Uzcharmsanoat" Association, and its member enterprises to Pakistan, they got acquainted with the country’s leather industry. During the visit, local manufacturers gained new insights into ensuring the continuity of the leather processing and production chain and enhanced their knowledge of obtaining international certifications.
While exploring the operations of well-known Pakistani companies such as Prime Tanning Industries and Siddiq Shafi Group, they closely studied modern leather processing techniques and production processes that meet international market requirements. Discussions were held on introducing laboratory control procedures in Uzbekistan to obtain testing certifications.
During the meeting with Badre Alam Traders, initial negotiations began on cooperation between Uzbek enterprises and joint initiatives in the leather processing sector. Additionally, B2B meetings were organized to discuss the purchase of auxiliary materials and semi-finished leather products. The Pakistani company expressed interest in opening a trading house in Lahore for Uzbek leather products.
The visit became an important step in strengthening trade cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan and elevating the leather industry to a new level.
