At the international exhibition “Uzbek Import Fair 2025” held in Tashkent, enterprises of the “Uzcharmsanoat” Association presented their latest products. Stands decorated with leather goods, footwear, accessories, and fur products displayed new samples of locally manufactured items. During the panel sessions, industry experts discussed advanced projects aimed at reducing imports, expanding local production, and enhancing the export potential of Uzbekistan’s leather industry.
In the first nine months of this year, enterprises in the sector produced goods worth 346 billion soums, fulfilling 112 percent of the annual plan. Meanwhile, the volume of imports decreased from 98 million to 82 million US dollars compared to 2024, reflecting growing local cooperation, technological modernization, and the strengthening of the domestic raw material base.
Within the framework of the exhibition, negotiations are underway to expand intersectoral cooperation and establish new business partnerships.
