In Namangan region, within the framework of efforts to ensure employment and establish productive labor in the Mahallas in 2025, a meeting was held with entrepreneurs in the leather industry. The event was organized in collaboration with the "Uzcharmsanoat" Association, the Central Bank, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the regional administration.
During the meeting, discussions were held on not only manufacturing leather products but also effectively organizing their export. Additionally, initiatives were considered for the widespread introduction of modern technologies into the sector and providing vocational training for the population. Entrepreneurs proposed establishing retail points for industry products near specialized industrial zones for leather production and increasing the share of small and medium-sized businesses through effective utilization of financial institutions' credit lines.
